Born from the mist the droplet takes flight

Alone just a drip

In formation with friends
By millions they soar

The Movie "Beaches" with Bette Midler

I had the wonderful privilege of being able to share the movie "Beaches" with my youngest daughter tonight. We laughed and cried together and I know that I have shared something with her that we both will always remember.
Tonight reminded me of that friend, that one true friend that you have had since you were young and even though you don't see each other as much as you would like too, you know they still love you.
 I was lucky, I was blessed with two.
 Dawn my friend from high school who's first words to me were "Merry Christmas" and I reply back "Happy New Years?" That would have been normal except it was September and not December. Grilled cheese sandwiches and screwdrivers in the middle of the night, jeans that were so tight that when we had a water fight with the neighbors we couldn't get the pants off to change. We were there for each other when our marriages fell apart.Through the years she has always tracked me down and stayed in contact.
Then there was Nita. She was the carefree hairdresser at the salon where I worked as a massage therapist. She was my Maid of Honor at my wedding to my husband of 14 years. We had been through some of the hardest times in our life together. We knew each other in a way that it was like our souls touched.
 I miss them. 
The movie reminded me how short life is and I am going to do what I can to see both of them. When I do I will hug them and let them both know how much their friendship has meant to me.
 Thank you Dawn and Nita for being my true friend.
 Who is that one true friend in your life?
 Maybe you should let them know you are thinking of them.

Wishing On A Falling Star

When Was The Last Time You Wished Upon A Falling Star?

I was blessed to see 2 falling stars tonight. 

The first one was as we were pulling up to our second home in Austin, by Lake Travis. It was so bright it was blinding. I thanked God for prosperity for the last part of this year.

When I got home I needed to walk my dog. My son and I start our walk as our neighbors point out that over the top of the trees the moon was rising. 

Let me paint you a picture. Our house sits upon a hill, so when you look out you see the tops of trees. The moon, not yet full but close, was big and orange. I stood there sharing this moment with my son, feeling the cool breeze, smelling the clean air living, in the moment. As we turn back, I keep gazing at the stars when all of a sudden another Falling Star. This one I thanked God that my mom was cancer free. 

Moments like this happen when you stop and enjoy the moment. Many of us are so busy trying to make a buck to spend that buck only to have to work to make more so you can spend more. 

Most of the special moments in life are free. 

Stop and look around. 

What do you see?

Look again.

I mean really stop and look.

 You might be surprise to see something beautiful right in front of you.

Westboro Baptist Church is One Reason People Don't Want to Go to Church

I Have a Relationship with God, I Don't Need a Church For That.

Get to know the true God. The One who loved us so much to die for us. God is the one to judge, not man. Westboro Baptist is not the only ones out there pushing people away from God. This is not how it is suppose to be.
Amy and Vince I pray that you will continue loving each other and God. Your fans support you. I saw Amy Grant play at KSBJ"s 30th Anniversary Party and it brought tears to my eyes because I know the struggles she has been through. This most recent event that took place is so sad.  

During Sunday's encounter outside the Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts, Gill talked to the protesters as he walked outside the concert venue."Vince Gill, what in the world are you doing out here?" a woman asked."I just came to see what hate looked like," he replied."Well, more importantly, what are you doing with another man's wife?" she said."I came out to see what hatred really looked like in the face," he said."Don't you know that divorce plus remarriage equals adultery?" she responded. "Jesus Christ said that.""Did he?" Gill said. "You know what else he said? He said a lot of stuff about forgiveness, about grace. You guys don't have any of that."

 

I just looked at Westboro Baptist Churches website and instantly felt sick. I will not put their site here because it is disgusting to me.

Poop Banks

Warning Do Not Read While Eating!

I was reading in Sept. 2013 issue of Reader Digest that the future holds... Wait for it... POOP BANKS, just like blood banks and sperm banks. You heard me right, POO POO Banks! After getting over the "What the @#&*" I continued to read on.
You see there is a nasty antibiotic-resistant intestinal infection called Clostridium Difficile, but I will call it "C. Diff" from now on. Did you know that 3 million people are infected annually, with about 30,000 people dying from it each year! Because the use of human stool transplants, (wretch) 85 to 90 percent of patients who have had multiple episodes of C. Diff. have been found to have remarkably positive results. Now there is a group that is very excited about these findings. We call these special people, "Gastrointestinal Scientists," or "G.I. Docs". My hat is off to the one that thought up this treatment and then proposed it to other G.I Docs with a straight face! Come on really! Who else could get so excited about poop! I just want to be in the room when they tell the patient what they are going to do! If your gut is a real mess with C. Diff, then kick-starting it with the mother of all probiotic infusions would be what the doctor ordered. First things first you need a donor. Any volunteers? The donor would give a "Stool Sample"(free of the bad bacteria) which would then be reconstituted into a saline based liquid. during a colonoscopy! (Wretch, hack, spit, wretch, hack... hack... Okay. I think I'm alright. Let's go on.) If you are going to go strictly with what the doctors wants you to do, then say, "One Poop Enema Please," (LOL) because the other alternatives are colonoscopy, where the insert the "Poop juice" all the way up in your colon, or through a different procedure in which a feeding tube is put through your nose (WROO... WRETCH), down your throat and into your stomach. (I'm barfing for you!) I have officially grossed myself out.

The thought of this is, SO DISGUSTING, I would probably be ready to try anything else FIRST! Suddenly a trip to the health food store for a few HERB concoctions doesn't sound so bad!!! Does it? Non-Systemic Herbs

• Usnea (Usnea spp.)
These three localized non-systemic herbs treat resistant infections of the GI tract, urinary tract and skin.
