Americans Are Agreeable In the November 2013 Issue of Readers Digest they had an article with some interesting facts. Instead of looking at everything we all like to disagree about, the Associated Press wanted to find out what we agreed upon. They found that nine out of ten Americans agreed on these 11 topics: believe in God Are very patriotic consider preventing terrorism very important foreign policy goal believe cloning humans would be morally wrong think society should ensure everyone has an equal opportunity to succeed think it's important to get more than high school education. believe it's their duty to vote find birth control morally acceptable admire those who get rich by working hard. believe it's wrong for married people to have affairs. favor teaching sex education in public schools.
